1. German journalist Fritz Gerlich represents the voice of reason. Why would
someone such as Gerlich take on that level of responsibility during uncertain and
dangerous times? What did he stand to lose?
First He saw Hitler as a Threat. He knew the current Germany circumstances would be easy to fall under any rule. He believed that the Truth must be spoken. So, he had done such thing like going to the speech Hitler had done, He didn't mind if he lost the job. In fact, he wanted to reveal how evil Hitler was to public.

individual who adapts his/her actions to the circumstances of the moment.
Hitler himself defined as an opportunist, meaning looking for change. One of the changes were the desolation of the Jewish people. His idea made Hitler strong and big.

He was reckoned to be dangerous because he tried to eliminate Jews and many things. He was charismatic because he was a well spoken man. Many people got attracted to his powerful speeches.

parties in Germany during the 1920s?
Treaty of Versailles contributed to the rise of radical political parties because many people were influenced by this peace pact. They were represented as rebels. They wanted to fight against government, so as to change. Moreover, they didn't care to hurt people.
5. Discuss the runaway inflation in Germany during the 1920s. Does the film portrayal of this severe economic condition reflect the historical account? Based on information in the film, what historical, social, economic, and political conditions existed in Weimer Germany that opened the door for Hitler and his radical Nazi party?
Many German became poor because of the Treaty of Versailles. Every necessary things became expensive because the demand for the things. Hitler called the price of bread as a huge issue in Germany. Germany's economy was in the state of despair. The living conditions for the lower class is Germany were horrible, and Hitler used these despairs to his advantage. He made promises that appealed to the Germans.
6. What kinds of relationships did Hitler have with women? How do societies transmit cultural values about the role of women?
He had strange relationships with women. He treated them unfairly and needed to have full control of them. if a woman disobeyed his rules she would get beaten. Hitler was so controlling that led the woman to commit suicide. The role of women at that time was like house wives and to be cooking and cleaning. Societies transmit cultural values about the role of women by broadcasting them through commercials or TV.
7. How did Hitler achieve the position of chancellor? When President Hindenburg died, Hitler combined his role as chancellor with that of the former president. Find out how Hitler sought to gain approval for this action, and then discuss whether he acquired power by legal or illegal means.
He had obtain much greater powers than the former leading politicians of the Weimar republic could ever have be aware when they supported his appointment as chancellor. When president Hindenburg died, his death allowed him to combine both chancellor's and president's positions into one when Hitler became the leader. He acquired power by illegal activities, striking many communist party members.
8. Hitler is considered to be one of the first politicians to exploit film for his own political purposes. In the mini-series we are introduced to Hitler’s photographer, Heinrich Hoffmann. Discuss how the advent of film has changed the nature of politics over time.
It has changed the nature of politics over time because of how Heinrich Hoffmann used his photography skills to have Hitler advertised on house hold things. The films show how Hitler had hand chosen Hoffmann to be his photographer and after all the good things he has done. He was elected to Reichstag. Which is Parliament. That is how it changed politics even photographers can be elected to be in Reichstag.
